from September 2 to September 9 we traveled to Minnesota to be with our daughter, Sally and family. Because of the dryness of the year, the leaves are turning but without the vibrant colors. The corn crops have suffered because of lack of spring rains. Even the sunflowers are lacking in height and heads are smaller. Saw lots of geese and ducks on the water.
Harvesting was in full force all along our route. Lots of dust in the air. Beautiful sunset Monday evening. No geese or ducks on the wing yet. Too warm.
Sept. 10th, Bismarck, ND was 93F at 3:30 p.m. and once we got into southern Saskatchewan the temps were still in the low 30'sC. Sept. 11th morning we needed a jacket!
We are now back in Pincher until the weather forces us to leave for warmer climes. The wind has been ferocious for the past two days.
