Texas - Rio Grande Valley - Donna

We stayed in the town of Donna in the Rio Grande Valley for a week.  We parked two doors down from camping friends we met last year.  Robert and Bonnie are from Illinois and we had a great week with them.
Palm Shadows RV Resort is home to a lot of Winter Texans from all states and some provinces.  There is a varied schedule of things to do and a full time activity director is on site.  It was a very neat and friendly park.  We especially liked the Chili night and the hamburger bar.
It was actually a lazy week.  We went to the Farmer's Market twice, to the flea market twice and ventured to a few of the neighboring towns.  There is no delineation between one town and the next except for a road sign.  It is one long strip of businesses and houses.
We got our car washed, vacuumed and windows washed inside and out for $15.  We had our motor home washed and waxed for $100.  We sat on our deck chairs and watched while they worked.  It was a fun hour.

all shiny and clean

we had several bunnies come by and visit - last night we had two baby bunnies!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Rio Grande Valley but it is just a bit too busy and congested for our tastes.
We headed out this morning, Feb. 7th and are presently at Falcon State Park on the Rio Grande Reservoir.
